Perfectly coordinated with the Spring/Summer 2017 Bedlinen Collection, Christian Fischbacher presents the women’s lined AVANTGARDENING bathrobe with shawl collar, which is around 120 cm in length and lined with white, one-sided Dreamflor terry cloth. Dreamflor products are manufactured in Switzerland and conform to the requirements of the Öko-Tex Standard 100. The exotic AVANTGARDENING leitmotif is printed onto the very finest satin 105 in swiss+cotton quality printed with 12 screens. The design studio, too, has reached new heights with AVANTGARDENING. The leitmotif thus forms a bridge between artists and decades. The latest technological innovations enable old drawings and paintings from the archive of the Rijksmuseum and the New York Public Library to be given a new lease of life in a digital collage. Christian Fischbacher has captured the most succinct elements of the old artworks and draped them onto a graphic patterned background of peacock’s feathers. Flamingos, little monkeys, birds and butterflies transport us to a fantasy land, a creation by Christian Fischbacher that exudes a feeling of pure joie de vivre.

Christian Fischbacher, born 1803 in the  village of St.Peterzell in Eastern Switzerland, founds the company at age of sixteen. A son of a farmer, the young Christian collects cotton fabrics woven by the farmer’s wives and trades them in the market in St. Gallen, travelling nearly 30 Km on foot to get there. For nearly two centuries, Christian Fischbacher has been at the heart of the textile industry. A family owned company, with headquarters in St. Gallen Switzerland, a centre for the textile industry since the 13th century. Their products are created with great attention to detail, a deep rooted passion for quality materials and constant drive for creative innovation. Characterized by its delicate sheen and soft, silky feel, it is the base-cloth for much of our creative prints and popular designs.Dreamflor lining: Luxurious and fluffy, Dreamflor is a lightweight towel (250g per m2) that is exceptionally absorbent and soft.

Wash separately at 60° C. Carefully cut any snagged loops with a scissor from the terry lining.
