In 1885, farmer Wilson Bentley managed to photograph snow crystals under the microscope for the very first time. Inspired by these magical photographic plates, Schneeflöckli presents a wintry design that celebrates the endless shapes made by this natural phenomenon. The snow crystals dance weightlessly over the bed linen, which is given additional depth through the two-tone print. Schneeflöckli is available in two different versions: as a light and bright design against a white background and as a discharge print on a dark background that is reminiscent of a starlit winter night. The motif is printed onto the finest Swiss cotton sateen by our long-term Swiss partner. The special quality of Supima cotton with its extra-long fibres is guaranteed by the coveted swiss+cotton quality seal. Only the best three per cent of the world’s cotton production meets the stringent requirements of the entire value chain. Due to these unwavering standards, our bed linen impresses with its irresistible sheen and incomparably smooth feel.

Christian Fischbacher, born 1803 in the village of St.Peterzell in Eastern Switzerland, founds the company at age of sixteen. A son of a farmer, the young Christian collects cotton fabrics woven by the farmer’s wives and trades them in the market in St. Gallen, travelling nearly 30 Km on foot to get there. For nearly two centuries, Christian Fischbacher has been at the heart of the textile industry. A family owned company, with headquarters in St. Gallen Switzerland, a centre for the textile industry since the 13th century. Their products are created with great attention to detail, a deep rooted passion for quality materials and constant drive for creative innovation.
